They Called Her Lettie

I was looking for a name for my company and asked my father what my Great Grandmothers name was.  He told me her name was Lettuce.  Always being a why person I asked him why they named her Lettuce.  His answer was, I don't know, but "they called her Lettie".  Thus the name for my company.
